The Story

On October 8th I decided to buy a 1974 Camaro to fix up and drive.  I decided on the '74 because of the availability, and I liked suspension of the 2nd generation car.   I talked myself out of a Harley because I did not want to be disabled after the wreck that was sure to follow the purchase. I will be fixing it up piece by piece and keeping the page updated on this.  
     On 11/09/01, (same day as Cindy's toe surgery) I put a new 100 amp alternator on.  My Nephew, Jake McFee, designed the stereo system with me.  The Stereo is a DEH-P90HDD, with a set of
MA69W speakers on the back deck, powered by an XTANT 2002T. Two sets of  Phoenix Gold Ti5 Titanium elite series 5 1/4 drivers with a 1" tweeter, in back and front, powered by an XTANT 604 amp. .  The bass will come from a pair of isobaric mounted Phoenix Gold Ti 12d Elite sub woofers powered by two  XTANT 1001 amps.  
    
I will continue with the upgrades on the system as time permits.  
     Jerry Rowley re-did the upholstery the seats were done in velour.  and Brent Davis has built a 383 Stroker engine  (The car has 67,000 miles on it).  He finished it March 6th, 2002, and it went to Jerry's that night.  It came with .272 rear end gears and a stock turbo 350 trans....  I have changed that out to a limited slip Richmond .373 gear in the rear, and a 700R4 Transmission.  My Nephew and some good friends gave me a B&M ratchet shifter for Christmas, and it is cool! 

Curtis Nicol, owner of Quality Body Shop painted the car.   The color is 2003 Corvette 50TH ANNIVERSARY RED with gun metal Z28 striping.

Exaust: Hooker Ceramic Coated Super Competition Headers, duel exhaust with Magna Flow mufflers
Rotating Components are balanced, and cam/degreed Horse Power approx. 430
